How we source, correct, and stay independent
No invented numbers
Every quantitative lab figure comes from a published source we link. If a value is not published, we write no published lab data and score Lab evidence at 0. We do not estimate, extrapolate, or round to flatter or punish a brand.
Sourcing rules
- Prefer primary documents: lab report pages, XRF write-ups with ppm tables, FTIR methodology notes, CR articles.
- Name the lab/source: Consumer Reports, Light Labs, Ecology Center, Lead Safe Mama, or a brand COA — never anonymous “tests show.”
- Separate performance testing from toxicology / chemistry findings.
- Record a source-checked date on each citation.
Corrections
